Trimming
Yard Maintenance includes the crucial task of trimming, which can significantly enhance or detract from the overall appearance of your landscape. We understand the importance of proper trimming techniques and take great care to ensure that we do not trim too short or damage trees or property with our trimmers. Additionally, we take steps to prevent grass from sticking up across sodded areas. Our crews are trained not to trim right up to the base of trees, fences, and properties with siding down to the ground to limit the potential damage to those areas. As part of our Yard Maintenance services, we also offer a roundup application around these sensitive areas to keep them looking neat.
Edging
Yard Maintenance includes the process of edging to create a defined and attractive separation between garden beds, paving, and other features from the lawn. This technique can give your property a more structured appearance and add formality to your yard. In addition, our Yard Maintenance team will use mechanical steel blade edges during the growing season to edge concrete borders such as walkways, curbs, and driveways.
Blowing & Clean Up
Yard Maintenance includes blowing all hard surfaces, such as driveways, sidewalks, patios, and decks, at the end of each service. Our team is careful not to blow any debris back onto the newly cut grass or into flower beds. Additionally, we provide mowing services weekly to maintain a neat and clean appearance. Edging is done on a biweekly basis, and at the time of mowing, all turf, shrub, and garden areas will be policed for the removal of loose trash and debris. Clean-up also includes clearing grass clippings from all sidewalks and parking areas. Our crews collect (bag) all grass clippings and haul them away as part of our Yard Maintenance services.
Spring/Fall Clean-Up
Yard Maintenance includes offering assistance with major clean-ups in the Spring and the Fall. During a Clean Up, we will blow out all beds onto the lawn, clean out window wells, and mow up all debris on the property. If this is the only assistance you require, our team can also help with that.
De-Thatching/Power Rake
Yard Maintenance includes removing thatch buildup from your lawn, typically done in the spring. We use a machine known as a power rake, which brings thatch to the surface. After using the power rake, we either hand rake or mow up all of the thatch to clean it up, leaving your lawn green and ready for fertilizer.
Lawn Aeration
Yard Maintenance includes removing plugs of soil to break up soil compaction, allowing oxygen, water, and fertilizer to reach the root zone. This service is typically performed in the early spring or late fall. Aeration is one of the best things you can do for your lawn; it reduces water runoff and puddling and creates a more robust root system. In short, Aeration is an excellent way to keep your grass growing thicker and healthier as part of your Yard Maintenance routine.
